Description

About : Galaxy Group proudly brings you Taiwanese Mandopop singer – Yoga Lin Concert 2013 Live in Malaysia on 2nd March, 8:30 pm at Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands.

Yoga, the winner of One Million Star, Season 1, a reality TV singing competition in Taiwan, is renowned for his enchanting performance for both his distinctive, dreamy vocals and his facial expressions.

Since Yoga’s last visit to Malaysia for his previous album, now he is coming back to meet his fans on the 8th, 9th and 10th of September 2012. Besides promoting his new released album “Fiction”, he will be launching his upcoming concert - 2013 Live in Malaysia.

Being the youngest Taiwan singer to hold a solo concert tour, Yoga has proven his ability to deliver a wide variety of musical performances, and he continues to experiment with new music genres and vocal styles. This is most evident in his latest album titled “Fiction”, which is conceived as a “music novel” with 10 chapters (songs), and Yoga has left his mark on every part of the production process. Produced by Sandee Chan, the first plug “Si Fan” is a whimsical number about aliens visiting earth, a stylist blend of rock and electronic with 70s disco and 80s new wave, while another main plug “Seduction” is an old-school ballad with blues/ jazz flavours.

“If I am your admirable novelist,” he said, “you wouldn’t want to miss the virtual yet crazy side of me”. Do not miss the coming showcase in September, for you will definitely be infused with his charismatic voice and the magical touch of this Novelist!

Hari Thaipusam 2013

Info

• Venue : Cuti Am, Malaysia
• Date : 27 January 2013

Description

About : Thaipusam (Tamil: தைப்பூசம், Taippūcam ?) is a Hindu festival celebrated mostly by the Tamil community on the full moon in the Tamil month of Thai (January/February). It is not only observed in countries where the Tamil community constitutes a majority, but also in countries where Tamil communities are smaller, such as Malaysia[1] , Mauritius[2] Singapore and Myanmar[3]

The word Thaipusam is a combination of the name of the month, Thai, and the name of a star, Pusam. This particular star is at its highest point during the festival. The festival commemorates the occasion when Parvati gave Murugan a vel "spear" so he could vanquish the evil demon Soorapadman. There is a misconception among people that Thaipusam marks Murugan's birthday; however, it is believed that Vaikhasi Vishakam, which falls in the Vaikhasi month (May/June), is Murugan's birthday.[4]
