About : Songs of the Wanderers, the 2013 re-staging in KL after a year will see the award-winning choreographer Lin Hwai-Min leading his troupe; accompanying them for the upcoming Malaysian outing is the ‘Georgian Treasure’, the Ensemble Rustavi of Georgia. For years now, art festivals around the world have been making tremendous effort to have the two widely-acclaimed groups on the same stage, albeit without success. When this vision was finally realized in June last year, in Germany, the reception was overwhelming. ‘Songs of the Wanderers’ has proved such an engaging experience that German audiences were moved to tears. With the duo taking to the stage in Malaysia early next year, audiences could expect the same, if not more breathtaking, performance.
This time around, Lin Hwai-Min will be taking audiences through his creative concept and the production of ‘Songs of the Wanderers’ after the performance. The audiences will get to know more about his ideas, choreography, music and the stage direction of the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre. This post performance sharing will only take place on 12 October 2013, and those interested are encouraged obtain their tickets as early as possible.
