Urbanscapes 2012
- Welcome to Urbanscapes 2012! Organised by Freeform, Urbanscapes is the city’s first and only all-day creative arts festival that brings together communities and participants from the fields of music, arts, fashion, visual design and much more. The festival started small in 2002 at the now-defunct Grappa Soho in Bukit Bintang, before moving its grounds to KL Sentral (2004), Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (2008, 2009 and 2010) and Padang Astaka (2011 and 2012).
- For anyone doing the math, you’d realise that Urbanscapes 2012 will mark the 10th anniversary of this festival. Who would’ve thought we’d make it this far?! Your support has pushed us to grow this festival beyond our imaginations.
- And that’s why Urbanscapes 2012 will be our biggest one yet. For the first time ever, Urbanscapes will fall on two dates over the course of a weekend -24 and 25 November 2012. And also for the first time, Urbanscapes will host regional and international artistes, one of them being Icelandic band, Sigur Rós. Yes, we’re mighty chuffed we managed to get them. But guess what?
