Description : Comedy sketch ensemble Projek Disko Baldi who made their debut in May 2011 at the PJ Laugh Fest is back with another comedy sketch show, ‘Love’, to be staged from 16th-19th February 2012 at PJ Live Arts. Produced by Playground Productions, the 90-minutes sketch show will feature sketches inspired by love and other current issues.
The bilingual performance will be filled with the ensemble’s trademark zany sketches and original songs. Projek Disko Baldi is made up of theatre practitioners Redza Minhat, Iedil Putra, Shamaine Othman, Megat Sharizal, Farah Rani, Ashraf Zain dan Tuan Faisal who worked together to write the sketches.
Artistic Director of Playground Productions Megat Sharizal said, “ This time we chose love as a theme as we all know matters of the heart are funny or often get us into funny situations. However, we won’t limit ourselves with just love-themed sketches but perhaps a few sketches that take a look at current issues affecting Malaysians.”
“After our first performance, we were happy that many audiences could accept our brand of humour that is quite random. We’ve also managed to build a strong fan base on our Facebook, Twitter and Youtube pages. Seems like the perfect time to give our fans another show,” added Megat.
