Borneo Jazz is growing!
Borneo Jazz has added two new concerts this year for you to hear more great music. If you like to dance or just listen to good music then you will love our Thursday night opening concert at the Miri Marina. For those that like to relax in a beautiful surrounding and hear great jazz then our Sunday Matinee at the Riverside Golf and Country Club is an ideal choice. These of course are in addition to our main festival nights on Friday and Saturday, all featuring some of the world’s leading artists in jazz.
Borneo Jazz adds Musical Meetings!
Musical meetings are an informal show where musicians from different groups meet onstage to discuss their music, play what they love, and jam together for the first time. You can meet the artists, listen to amazing stories, and witness the act of music creation. These are the kind of shows where magic happens, and you will hear jams that no-one has ever heard before, or will ever hear again. Make sure you are there, or you will always wish you were!
Programme
An eclectic line-up of 8 international bands playing a diverse range of jazz genres with a headline act of MARIA MULDAUR, the festival is featuring 4 different acts per night over 2 nights.
Musical Meetings
You can take part in the workshop with some of the performers….explore your talent, dance to a different beat, or meet and be inspired by an artist. Musical meetings details will be released closer to the festival.
Food & Village Mart
The Food & Village Mart is filled with local crafts, souvenir items and international food and drinks. More than 20 stalls with an array of crafts, souvenirs and food and beverage within the region.
Borneo Jazz Store
The Borneo Jazz store is filled with Borneo Jazz merchandize. Grab yourself a souvenir t-shirt or your favourite artist CD – you can even get it signed if you want by them at the CD signings that are scheduled.
